If given a choice will you choose gratitude?

I am so thankful for my friends and their amazing insight. The other day I heard from one friend who was touched by the post about going home for Christmas. This friend shared that when we remember disappointing Christmas celebrations with gratitude, and not sorrow, we can enjoy them anew. I totally agree, and told her that I was hoping that she was not the only one who saw it this way.

As I write this we are one day off of Christmas, and there may be some who are feeling a bit deflated as things did not go as they would have liked. Now, here is where we get to exercise a spirit of gratitude over sorrow. We can choose to see things from a perspective that brings joy instead of judgment. The fact that we get to choose is really wonderful because grace will always triumph over sorrow. By doing so, we become overcomers within our own memories. We no longer will be bound to sorrow and disappointment, as it has been replaced by acknowledging a spirit of gratitude.

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful!

Can you refrain from stirring the pot?
