God’s normal is heaven on earth, just like the Scripture in Matthew 6:9-14. Our Father in heaven, Your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
My assumption is that most of us are familiar with this Scripture as the Lord’s Prayer. As a small child it was one of the very first prayers that I learned to repeat daily.
Prayers like this become so rote that we fail to allow the words to bring deeper revelation, and understanding. Yet, Jesus Himself gave this prayer to us as a tool, and an instrument to living here on earth, so it was important.
Today had me meditating on how the Father wants us living here on earth in heavenly fullness. He wants us to use our God given authority and call down to earth the things that are in heaven. When we do this, our daily life will be dramatically changed because we will understand that the words we speak have power to bring to fruition the things of the kingdom.
Jesus said it very plainly. When we honor the Father, when we profess His holiness, then we can expect to see His heavenly kingdom manifest itself here on earth. This is the Father’s desire, and it is the foundational truth on which we stand. It is God’s normal becoming our normal, and as we believe it we shall see it. It is our belief that carries over into action, action that brings God’s kingdom to earth.
Matthew 18:19 Again, truly I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.
