When we walk in our God given identity we walk in freedom. The person that we are, and the one that is presented to others, is a person who is free. Free from what generations have spoken over us, and truly who God desires us to be.
When we embrace the person that God saw when we were in His mind, then we are not carrying another persons identity, but our own. Just like no two people are alike, so is your identity, and mine. It is unique to us, for us, and critical to what we are to do in this earthly realm.
Many women are at a loss to understand their true identity. They assume a posture that others will approve, and one which satisfies a longing for acceptance. We all know that this can only work for so long.
When we understand who God intended us to be, then we will not try to please others. We will want to be all that we can be, and do all that we can do to remain in agreement with God’s thoughts for us. His words over us bring life, joy, and love.
