Many get offended when their words are not immediately valued as true. They take it as a personal affront that their age, experience, education, or intellect is not given an immediate pass. To be offended by truth that is new to you, or that comes from a place that you consider beneath you, is a mistake!
God’s Word tells us that many will be offended by the Truth. The very name of Jesus is enough to bring division, to bring what was hidden to the surface, and to cause people, often unknowingly, to reveal their heart condition. When you see people become enraged by the truth that you speak, the truth that you live by, and your confession of faith, you will see offense come to the surface.
What will you do with this offense that comes to unsettle your faith in God? What will you do when your obedience is offensive to others?
We are standing with God when we stand in agreement with what He has spoken. For what can man do to us that compares to the love of God? Nothing!
Matthew 24:10-14 TPT “You can expect to be persecuted, even killed, you will be hated by all the nations because of your love for Me. Then many will stop following me and fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another. And many lying prophets will arise, deceiving multitudes and leading them away from the path of truth. There will be an increase of the sin of lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold. But hold your hope firmly to the end and you will experience life and deliverance.”
“Yet through it all, the good news of heaven’s kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after that the end of the age will arrive.”
