There are times when I have felt the Sprit of God speak continuously, as well as times when I have experienced His reserved silence. In both instances, I will say that I have never felt abandoned, or unloved. I know God’s Word and I stand on its promises. God will never leave me or forsake me. Therefore, I know that even in silence He is still with me!
Yet, God’s Word is never silent. It is alive and ready to impart life to us with each word that we read. Our part is simple. We need only ask the Holy Spirit to open our understanding to what the Scriptures are saying to us, and then we need to put that understanding into practical use.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
