This morning, as my husband and I were speaking about victory this question came to mind. I have written about victory before, but when I hear the word commander I got excited. I am also not surprised that Holy Spirit brought it up again, as this is something we have got to get right. This is an on going struggle for many believers who just can’t seem to get a grasp of what it truly means to be victorious.
Those who have not had victory in their lives over intensely painful areas do not want this to be true. They have been working to obtain that which appears to be unattainable, but they are not to blame. For some it is that they just are not where they need to be, yet! I say yet because this is usually a process. Victory is often tied to forgiveness, with forgiveness comes release, and with release comes healing. Healing and victory go together because when you are healed of that thing that kept you bound, then you have become the master of your own destiny.
Destiny is all about victory! We walk into it from that place of seeing the fruit of having fought the good fight. Our destiny is in Christ, but if we have not been able to overcome those things which have us, then we won’t be truly free. Jesus sees us victorious and we must see ourselves the same way. To do otherwise is to be stuck in the old patterns and fighting the same old battles. My pastor says, “We war with peace for God’s victory,” and I say is there any other way?
2 Corinthians 6:12 TPT It’s true that our freedom allows us to do anything, but that doesn’t mean that everything we do is good for us. I’am free to do as I choose, but I choose to never be enslaved to anything.
