Is strength training on your radar?

I know many people who have strength training on their radar, and I am one of them. It is a season to be building muscle, both spiritually and physically. We are to steward both of these areas well, and not only is there a noticeable overlap, it is a key to what is quickly approaching.

There are days when it is hard to workout for everyone. This surely includes working out in the physical sense as well as spiritual. You and I both know that some days it is just more difficult to push through, but we also know that push through we must. To be fully conditioned in the spirit, soul, and body has immeasurable benefits to our entire life.

The spirit is eternal and must be treated as such as we pursue the things of God. It is what we will carry over to the next life. The soul benefits from all that we pour into the the spirit, as we find that a renewed mind is a healthy mind. The body, the flesh, must be mastered and put into submission to our spirit. Otherwise, we will see it exercising dominance over us continually.

God’s Word keeps us focused and alert to the dangers of this world. Let’s stay strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might as we maintain our spirit, soul, and body in submission to God.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God wil never give you a spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.

Are we looking to the world to fill us with joy?
