Are we putting value on our creativity?

I was looking at a magazine the other day and in the article the writer was speaking about creativity. This individual was expounding upon the process that they submit to as they attempt to get their creative juices flowing. What was interesting was that they were not saying that they lack creativity, but what they do to go deeper and experience it on a different level. These individuals recognized that the creative part of them was important enough to take time to cultivate continually.

The vast majority of us do admire those people that we meet and immediately decide they are off the charts with their creativity. It just seems to pour out of them freely and quite naturally. We may assume that you are either born with this particular side to you, or not. In other words, you are either super creative, or noticeably lacking in that area of your life.

It has taken some time to get to the bottom line on this post, but I finally have it. We all want to be recognized as being creative. Creative people just seem to be more interesting, and we all want to be interesting!

The word unwrapped came to mind just now as well. I think that we should all consider ourselves as being creative, born out of the mind of the Creator, a Creator that has no equal. For all the people in the world who are doing amazing things, there are those that just have yet to be unwrapped. These are people who need to spend time in the presence of the Holy Spirit as He gradually unwraps them. This unwrapping is to bring to light the aptitudes that have been buried. Talents that have yet to see the light of day, but which have existed from your beginning.

My husband is a nuclear engineer and businessman who has done all things related to business development for many years, but he is also an abstract painter. I have always seen him as this brilliant individual who is both a visionary and a builder. He can look at very complex systems and understand all their technical aspects. Yet, he is a colorist who paints from deep within his spirit and produces art that takes you into another perspective of life. He is multifaceted and certainly creative.

God is fhe creator of heaven and earth and there is no one that runs parallel to His creativity. God is a creative Being and is the source of all creativity. We were created by God and He has deposited within us a powerful element of creative talent. His desire is that we would use all of it. Some of those talents come in very simple straightforward ways.

The peace and joy what we get when we allow our imaginations to soar and we get to creatively help other people. The creative way we take care of our families and the things that we do that make their lives better. These are all things that we may think don’t actually matter. Simple things that no one may see, and that we think don’t really count for much.

I believe it matters to God that we use our imagination. It matters to God that we acknowledge the beauty that surrounds us and that we give Him the glory for being the Person responsible. Everything that we are and all that we do comes back to our Creator and this gives Him pleasure.

Psalm 96:11-12 CSB Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice, let the sea and all that fills it resound. Let the fields and everything in them celebrate. Then all the trees of the forest will shout for joy.

Romans 1:20 NLT For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities. His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Have you ever felt that God has stopped moving on your behalf?

Are you looking for a Moses like relationship with God?
