What do we find impossible to ignore?

For believers, the question should really be Who, not what. We have God’s very own Spirit, the Holy Spirit, living in us taking up the space that our human spirit once occupied. It is the Holy Spirit that speaks to us, guides us, counsels us, and so much more. It is He who has been given to all those that have put their trust in Jesus.

If when you read the paragraph above you sense that I am fired up, you are right! I am currently in a Bible Study with just under 50 women from my neighborhood, and with these precious ones, I am walking through a life transforming study.

It truly is life transforming when we live in the knowledge that the Holy Spirit never stops speaking to us, never stops revealing more of the Father, and never stops declaring to us our identity in Christ. Just as Jesus declared the Father to all who had ears to hear, the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God for our benefit. In fact, there is nothing that the Holy Spirit will not do for us. His job, His privilege, His very nature is to prepare us to not only see God face to face one day, but the Holy Spirit is our guide here on earth as we learn to live out of our sanctified spirits and not out of our flesh.

The Holy Spirit does all of this for us as we willingly surrender our will for the perfect will of God. It is the Holy Spirit who makes this surrender possible as He teaches us the great and wonderful things of God that we have yet to know but desperately need.

1 Corinthians 12:7 The Spirit’s presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all.

Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.

Have they lost their way?

Are we looking for God everyday?
