We are believing women, and we have a responsibility to speak what is true even if it may not be what the world considers to be politically correct. After all we follow One who was continually accused of not being politically correct 2 thousand years ago. If Jesus did not allow His voice to be silenced, then we must not allow it either. If we do not speak truth, then we are part of the problem and not the solution. God by His Spirit will lead us into all truth. It is a promise and it is a guarantee.
This blog is about conversation among believing women, but my hope is that those conversations will make their way into the marketplace, into homes, and into all areas where women gather. Truthfully, wherever women gather and speak of the things of the Kingdom of God a shift happens. Others who are engaged in their own conversations will suddenly be influenced by words that speak truth, and therefore life.
God’s Word is very clear on judgement. We are not to judge the person, but we are to judge the word. If the word that is spoken is in error, is damaging, is not edifying, then we are to recognize it, and as we are led by God, to call it out. So, this is what I am doing here today.
I have questions that I feel will lead us to the right conclusion. First question is, ‘Why do women have to use race and gender to get what they want?’ Can they not stand on their own merit without bringing this to the forefront of their conversation? Secondly, ‘How does race and gender operate to sway people?’ It is meant to create a spirit of division, and where there is division there is all manner of evil, for from division comes a spirit to destroy all that God says is good. Just as simple as that.
A woman who builds a foundation based on division is deceiving herself and others. When this woman has to use race and gender to attack someone who disagrees with them, or to gather support, that person is standing on that weak foundation. A foundation that is not based on truth will never succeed.
I have a deep respect for a woman, or a man, who stands on their own merit, and who have worked to achieve what is right and just for all. Let’s be honest. This woman, or man, will not be perfect, but they will call upon the One that is without any apologies.
Psalm 89:14-18 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; faithful love and truth go before You. Happy are the people who know the joyful shout; Lord, they walk in the light from Your face. They rejoice in Your name all day long, and they are exalted by Your righteousness. For You are their strength; by Your favor our horn is exalted. Surely our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Proverbs 29:25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.
