Is Jesus in the room?

I have sought a relationship with Jesus since I was a young child. At that time it was more about doing what I was taught to do and think in regard to Jesus. I was being groomed in religion, instead of relationship. My religion was teaching me to fear God, that I was not good enough, and that there would be much that would keep me apart from God, and yet I longed for Jesus to come to me.

My grandchildren are taught differently. The relationship that they have with Jesus is genuine, it is pure, it is lovely, and it is all theirs. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8 that whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

When we recognize that Jesus is in the room it is impossible not to have good thoughts. Jesus brings healing into our bodies, into our souls (mind, will, and emotions) and He pours into our spirits. Knowing Jesus is with me brings me peace, rest, and joy. Truthfully, can there be anything better for us than the knowledge that Jesus is in the room?

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those that seek Him.
