Is revelation at the root of purpose?

In this life we are surrounded by what many call purpose, and this includes the children of God. We remain busy doing things for God, things for others, and yet, are we fulfilling our life’s purpose?

We do not want to be idle, so do we instead put our hands to whatever seems good? Whatever brings approval by those that we desire to please? Does this make us committed, doing what is good, and does it please God at the same time? We might say that this is not a bad thing. Certainly, we can’t help it if we are held in esteem for the positions we take?

I realize this may sound harsh. The Bible tells us to love others, to do unto others as we want done to us, and this is absolutely true. In fact, this is so true that we should be doing this all the time, but this can’t be our all. This can’t be all that we do, disregarding our real purpose, and assume this is enough.

We do need to effect change through what we do for the kingdom here on earth, for it is a window in time that we don’t want to miss, an invitation to be as Jesus, led by Holy Spirit, and giving all glory to the Father. This is a purpose that is worth striving to accomplish. A purpose that is worth living out daily. It means walking in close relationship with God, listening for new revelation, and then using that revelation to bring the goodness of God onto the earth.

Revelation is critical to every step we take. When we understand the depth and breath of why we are here at this very time, and why it is that God has called us to do His work, then we will be fulfilling our divine purpose.

We will not be looking for something to make us feel worthy. We will know we are worthy! The children of God are worthy through the redemptive power of the Blood of Jesus, so we are guaranteed revelation as to our purpose. Therefore, we will not walk with a restless spirit when we understand why, and where, we are going. Our understanding will be based on God’s key revelation to us by Holy Spirit. This revelation brings us absolutely everything we need to make sense of our God given purpose, and that deserves a hallelujah!

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Does the reality of our comfort in eternity make it worth sharing with others?

Are you and I taking a remnant stand?
