To know God is to walk in obedience to His truth, and not a portion of His truth, but in all of His truth. God’s truth, His very Word, sets the standard for every step that we take, and those steps will take us deeper and deeper into our destiny.
Would you agree that before you can help anyone get their house in order you must look to your own house? In fact, it is hard to imagine that you would want to have someone fix you if they themselves are living a broken and dysfunctional life. I believe there is another important point in all of this. With so many people being torn from their normal, and forced to live in ways that are not what they know, it has become more obvious when things are not in order.
One of my favorite books is “Manifesting the Divine Nature” by Smith Wigglesworth. A man of God who was not intimated by the things of this world, but spoke of God’s truth as revealed by the Holy Spirit. Below is an excerpt from that book..
“Brother, if God speaks, it will be as He says. What you need is to know the mind of God and the Word of God, and you will be so free you will never find a frown on your face or a tear in your eye. The more you know of the mightiness of revelation, the more that fearfulness will pass away. To know God is to be in the place of triumph. To know God is to be in the place of rest. To know God is to be in the place of victory.”
Psalm 118:15 The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteousness.
