Do we allow the Word to speak to us?

You know that I am all about truth, and I can assume you are as well. Otherwise, you would not be interested in reading this blog. Truth will stand on its own, but we must walk closely with Holy Spirit so that we can recognize error, and not just error, but lies. Lies that are purposely meant to take you and I as far away from truth as possible.

Every believer, learns very early the signifiance of the Scripture in John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

This Scripture really is the foundation of our faith, for without Jesus we would not exist. Jesus is the Word, Jesus is God, and Jesus created everything that we know on earth, including us. He is our link to the Father, and He has much to say to us. God’s Word makes our path very clear, and it defines for us all what we need to know, and do, to live a blessed life.

When I mediate on the question, “Do we allow the Word to speak to us?” I am overcome by the love that Jesus has for us, and of how we might be ignoring Him. Clearly, we read God’s Word, our Bible, but do we let those living words speak to us through the Word, Jesus?

Jesus wants to be personally known, sought after, listened to, and the One we go to for advice. Jesus is the Word, and His desire is that we would seek Him out for conversation and fellowship above everything else in this life. It is plain and simple. Jesus wants His voice to matter.

Hebrews 6:19-20 NKJV This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Are you steadfast in your conversation?

Do you understand that the enemy works subtly?
