God’s Word says that He will call you to a table that He has set in the presence of your enemies, which are God’s enemies. Please don’t miss the point that is being made here. God is setting a table that His children have been called to sit at, but there are some in the church who have missed the invitation. They have sat on the fence for so long that they do not know what it means to sit in a chair, let along at the table of the Lord. They don’t understand that they have compromised in the days, and more likely years, that have passed. Furthermore, they have become comfortable on the fence.
So, will you be late to the table? Unfortunately, you shall be late if you are not listening to the Holy Spirit who is speaking through His prophets, if you are not resting within your relationship with the Trinity, and you are not standing in faith!
We must not be like the five foolish virgins who did not have oil for their lamps. We must be prepared and ready. We must stand in faith. We the remnant have a job to do. We are to not only stand in faith, we are to help others to do the same. We are to speak words of life and power, words that can only come from God’s Word. Finally, if we do all of this we will not only stand, we will stand in strength.
Psalm 24:6 So Why should I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to Your glorious presence to be forever with You.
Matthew 25:1-4 When My coming draws near, heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared to ten maidens who took their oil lamps and went outside to meet the bridegroom and His bride. Five of them were foolish and ill-prepared , for they took no extra oil for their lamps.
