What questions are at the forefront of your mind?

I always start this blog with a question because I want to know answers. This is just who I am. I ask the Lord a question, and I expect the Holy Spirit to speak to me. I never ask a question without that expectation, even if the answer does not come immediately, or in the way I expected.

A year ago I asked Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, a simple, but direct question. In this particular case it was not a question that would cause the mountains to shake, but it was a question that would change my personal world. I asked a simple question. Should I get a dog? A good friend’s dog had a litter of standard poodles, and they were awesome. I have had a dog all by life, but 3 years ago when our last dog died, we closed the door. Seeing those puppies opened the door to my heart.

I got my answer in the middle of the night. It was not a yes, or a no. It was just four words. His name is Justice. It was certainly the answer I had hoped for, but not in the way Holy Spirit spoke. It was a wonderful lesson. God will never be put into a box. His ways will always be higher than our ways, and His understanding will reach far beyond what we are seeing in front of us.

God is all about the big things, as well as the small things! He desires to be involved in each and every decision that we make. This is true relationship. You include those closest to you in on even the smallest of decisions, so it is absolutely natural that our Father would be!

As the year played out before us, and into this new year, it is no mistake that God is keeping justice in the forefront.

Psalm 89:14 TPT Your glorious throne rests on a foundation of righteousness and just verdicts. Grace and truth are the attendants who go before you.

Jeremiah 33:3 ESV Call on Me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

What do you do when you have done all you can do?

Do we speak a narrative of truth, but believe the lies?
