Are you putting on muscle?

Yesterday I worked out with a very experienced trainer, who also happens to be an awesome friend. She is a woman that loves Jesus. A woman like this is so easy to be around. She understands her authority, and is not timid about speaking out of that authority. She is an encourager to everyone she meets.

This friend of mine understands the importance of working all the muscle groups for optimum heath and fitness. She was able to implement a training routine for me that will deliver the best results. It is exciting to experience such focus, and I have no doubt that my results will be amazing, if I stick to the plan.

Believers understand that without spiritual muscle they may experience a significant beating from the enemy, a beating that could have been avoided had they been prepared.

When we dig deep into God’s Word, when we allow the Scriptures to ready us for each time our enemy comes after us, then we will indeed be the ones who are in control of those blows. Our enemy will be running from us not to us!

As with anything, that is worth doing, it takes concentrated time and effort. Time spent with Holy Spirit to intentionally work out any misunderstanding that we may have, and to allow the Spirit of God to speak absolute truth into us is without measure. This time will never be wasted. Our lives will be transformed with each moment spent in His company, our resistance to the schemes of the enemy will be obvious, and our strength and fortitude will be unmatched!

Job 40:16 “Behold now, his strength is his loins. And his power in the muscles of his belly.

Proverbs 3:7 Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore Him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that is wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.
