Have we given our anticipations to God?

My perspective will try to shape my anticipations, my expectations, on how I will see God work. When I do this I am opening a door called disappointment. It is because I am taking what I see in the natural and viewing it from that doorway.

Disappointment can cause us to assume that God has let us down, but God never disappoints! So, I don’t allow my flesh to tell me something that is not true about God. My God will never leave me, will never forsake me, will never disappoint me. What does this mean? It means that I don’t view God from what I think God is doing. This one stand changes everything. Even if my eyes declare what looks like a failure, I declare that God is faithful.

Ephesians 2:10 We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!
