Are you making room for Holy Spirit?

At a recent women’s meeting, the power of God was tangible in the room. God’s Word was speaking and setting the tone for the evening. It was a Spirit filled meeting, not based on opinion, or experience, but on the Holy Spirit bringing God’s Word, and our response to His Word. Holy Spirit was transforming our perspective as we gave ourselves over to His leading.

To give yourself over to His leading is to surrender to the Spirit of God. It means taking off any restrictions that you have imposed upon your relationship with the Lord, and agreeing to go wherever He wants to take you. This can be somewhat overwhelming, even intimidating on some levels, but it has fruit that far exceeds what you already know. There is always a meaning behind the meaning, deeper understanding, and more revelation the deeper you go.

Prior to the above mentioned meeting, I was driving and praying. I was releasing to Holy Spirit anything that I had implemented that would prevent us from going deeper as a group. Then, I simply asked Holy Spirit if He would take us deeper. As always, Holy Spirit was ever gentle, continually listening, and eager to respond. Further down the road I heard one question, ‘How deep do you want to go?’

Hallelujah! When I shared this at the opening of our meeting the women were excited and in agreement. This agreement opened the door wide for Holy Spirit to come in and move.

The Rhema comes in and changes our perspective. What follows is a transformation that becomes a permanent manifestation of His work! Psalm 32:8-9 TPT I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway of your life. I will guide you along the way and lead you forth with My eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult, don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with Me!

What a word! What a promise! The Lord will guide us with His eyes, going before us. Seeing what needs to be seen and getting us to where we need to be. A place we have perhaps not seen before, but where we need to go. Throughout this time, the posture of the child of God is clear. Hope confidently, wait expectantly, and stand steadfast!
