Do you have a prayer circle to back you up?

When we are in need of people, to stand with us in prayer, we don’t want to look far. We want to know that there are individuals who believe in the power of prayer, and who won’t hesitate to jump in and intercede.

Over the weekend my husband’s blood pressure spiked to a very dangerous level, and it brought us an enormous amount of peace and comfort to know that others were praying with us. It brings added confidence, as to the outcome, when we exercise our right as believers and petition the Father.

During the summer, a friend and I were walking past a woman who was sitting on some steps near the beach. As we approached her it was obvious that she was in pain. My friend asked if she was ok, and when she replied that she was not, my friend asked if she could pray for her. After being given permission, my friend prayed a healing prayer. At the conclusion of the prayer we left, but not before we asked the woman her name.

We shared this encounter with the people whom we were visiting at the beach, and mentioned the name of the woman. Now all these months later we heard from our friend, who lives at the beach, who wanted to give us an important piece of information. She ran into this same woman, whom our mutual friend had prayed for, and she told her that no one had prayed for her in 40 years. She was impacted by the simple act of prayer, it had made an impression on her, as had the compassion of a stranger.

There is power in prayer because we know it brings peace, comfort, healing, revelation, and so much more. We have the authority, as believers, to pray for those who need to see the manifestation of God, and it is both a privilege and a right we need to exercise.

Ephesians 6:18 CSB Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
