Is it time to remind someone you love that they must make a decision for Jesus?

Last week I had what I will call a near miss of a car accident. Unfortunately, there were at least two other vehicles that can not make the same statement. As I drove away from the scene I was praying for the people I had left behind, and thanking God for His protection over me.

By the time I arrived home I was praising God for my salvation, my relationship with Him, and for His love. Of course, His love permeates every aspect of who He is, and it is that love that fills me up. The other aspect of this encounter was the realization that those involved may, or may not, have known Him like me.

Many years ago our youngest daughter attended boarding school in England. She had a friend that was very curious about Jesus. What this young man shared with our daughter was what his mother had told him. She said, “It doesn’t matter what god you believe in just believe in someone.” It wasn’t too long after this that this young man came to the saving knowledge of Jesus, the only true God. We knew that he would never be the same and that his life would be forever changed.

We know that just any god, and any belief will not do, and that we need Jesus as our gate into eternal life with God.

Who do you know that still has not made the decision for Jesus? Maybe it is time to bring the name above all names into the conversation once again.

Philippians 2:8-11 NKJV And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and become obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Do you frequently talk to yourself?

Are you getting enough rest?
