Do you need a divine reset?

There are times in our lives when we have drifted off target, but we are not to loose heart. It can all be turned to good when we recognize that it has happened. This revelation then becomes an important step in the battle to regain what was lost. I say battle because you, and I, may truly feel bruised and battered as we fight for that secure footing. The fight is not with God, but with our own will, as we surrender it to Him.

God never takes from us, but we can let go of what God has given us. There are many people who have been given a significant mantle from the Lord, and they have laid it down. They either allowed their own desires to get in the way of fulfilling what God had called them to do in the kingdom, they just became too weary to continue, or they have passed on to glory. Regardless, there still remains work that needs to be done. If an individual has not fulfilled their calling, it is between them and their Creator, but we do know that nothing that God has ordained will fall to the ground. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I sent it to do.”

I believe that this question is rooted in our desire to fulfill all that has been ordained for us. It really is a magnificent thing when you reflect upon the fact that you were created to accomplish something for God. What God saw you and I doing was His will for us, and it was good. Good because that is what God is all about, good out of every situation, and for good even if we have actually slipped off the mark. God’s heart is for us to be exactly where He sees us, and He will help us accomplish those things as we surrender to His leading.

2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Are we giving the right impression?
